My name is Michelle. For most of my adult life, 17 yrs, I taught Yoga and Fitness as a certified instructor, at 26 gyms and facilities all over San Diego, including 24hr Fitness, Pure Fitness, Golds, Frogs Club One, Sporting Club, LA Fitness, countless Yoga Studios from Imperial Beach to Escondido. During that time I became meshed into the holistic community and never left! I enjoy an (almost) fully organic lifestyle, home gardening, Solar power, the works.
Of all the jobs mentioned above, I left out Scripps Hospital in La Jolla. Scripps was the last job I let go of before I had my little ones, now 4 and 5 years old. This job, I worked for 10 years, was the most fulfilling and rewarding of all!. I worked in the Wellness Center, Cardiac Treatment Center and at the Shiley Pavillion as an instructor for seniors, doctors, staff and patients in rehab for a multitude of reasons. This job lead me to many many wonderful people and I made many new friends in the health care and senior communities and this is where I found my niche’. I met my best friend who I love dearly who passed away at 94 November 2011.
When time came to go back to work in 2008, I naturally gravitated to care giving. This was easy for me not only because I was experienced, but I am also a stay at home mother and I am a real “Domestic Goddess”. My forte happens to be seniors but I am also great with children and hospice patients, I NEVER want to take over someone’s house, I consider myself an extension of my client. I have great respect for dignity and it is very easy for me to build friendship and trust. My personal philosophy is to be the caregiver I would want taking care of my children, or my parents, or ME!
