Amanda Dearinger is an energetic student studying Molecular Cell Developmental Biology at UCLA hoping to pursue a career in medicine as a Geneticist.

Originally from Escondido, Amanda has been babysitting and tutoring young children in the San Diego area for almost 8 years. As the daughter of an elementary school teacher, Amanda has had many opportunities to work with children in the classroom firsthand.

Amanda is an active tennis player who played on her high school’s team for all four years. Known affectionately by her teammates as “Deuce Skywalker”, Amanda served as Team Captain her junior year. Amanda is also an avid performer. She has been singing in choirs since the fifth grade and has participated in many local musicals. Amanda loves any and all arts and crafts, and can be found raiding Michaels weekly.

So whether your children want to read, color, dance, or run around outside, you can be sure that Amanda will be right alongside them with encouraging words and eager to participate.
